How the free question works

You enter a birth date, a birth time if you know it, and the town you were born in. Crescent calculates the chart for that moment, using the time zone rules that applied there on that date. Your question is then answered from those placements and from the sky over the months ahead, so a question about timing gets real dates rather than vague seasons. Every visitor gets one question on the house. After that, a free account keeps your chart and gives you three more.

What to ask

The answers are strongest when the question is about you: how you tend to love, what kind of work suits you, why a pattern keeps repeating, or whether the coming months lean toward a change. Ask plainly, the way you would ask a friend who knows astrology well. A question that names a decision, such as whether to move city this year, gets a clearer reading than a general one.

Western or Vedic

The answer is read from your Vedic chart, the sidereal zodiac that Indian astrology uses, with your nakshatra and the dasha period you are in. If you have seen your Sun sign shift by one when you compare the two systems, that is why. The free birth chart calculator shows both side by side if you want to see the placements first.

What the astrologer will not do

Astrology here is a way to reflect, not a prediction you have to live by. The astrologer never predicts death, illness, the outcome of a pregnancy or a court case, and it never tells anyone what to invest in. When a question touches health or a serious decision about money or the law, it gives the reading and suggests talking it through with a qualified person as well. If someone writes that they are in crisis, it sets the chart aside and points them to real help.

What happens to your details

Your question is not saved, and neither is the answer. The birth details are used to calculate the chart for this one answer and then discarded. To stop the same browser asking again, Crescent keeps a scrambled code made from this browser and this connection, which cannot be turned back into either. If you create an account, the birth details you typed are carried over so you do not have to enter them twice.
